CLE & Attorney Development Manager

**This role is hybrid in New York, New York.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to lead our client's Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and attorney licensing programs for their New York City office. This role will oversee CLE compliance, accreditation, and program execution while serving as a key advisor to attorneys on licensing requirements across jurisdictions.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning & Development, this individual will manage the full lifecycle of CLE programming-from accreditation and logistics to reporting and compliance-while collaborating closely with Practice Groups, Marketing & Business Development, and the Alumni team.

This is a highly visible, cross-functional role that blends program coordination, regulatory expertise, and attorney-facing support.


Key Responsibilities

CLE Compliance & Tracking

  • Serve as the firm's primary resource for CLE compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Track attorney CLE progress and maintain accurate records in CE Manager (Micron) or similar systems
  • Maintain deep working knowledge of CLE rules in key jurisdictions (notably NY & CA)
  • Prepare and submit required filings and year-end reports to accrediting bodies

Program Management & Execution

  • Manage end-to-end execution of CLE programs (in-person, virtual, hybrid), including:
    • Accreditation submissions
    • Program materials
    • Vendor coordination and AV logistics
    • Post-program processing and uploads
  • Support CLE accreditation and logistics for firm-hosted client programs and conferences

Attorney Licensing & Advisory

  • Advise attorneys on CLE requirements, licensing compliance, and jurisdictional regulations
  • Partner with the Managing Attorney's Office to support bar admissions and ongoing licensure
  • Assist with lateral onboarding, including CLE record collection and account setup
  • Provide departing attorneys with required CLE documentation

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Learning & Development, Marketing, and Business Development to develop CLE programming aligned with firm strategy
  • Support client-facing CLE initiatives that enhance relationship development
  • Serve as primary point of contact for CLE vendors and platforms

Training & Process Improvement

  • Deliver training sessions for attorneys and business services staff on CLE tools and requirements
  • Support onboarding for summer associates and junior attorneys related to admissions
  • Maintain and enhance CLE resources (e.g., SharePoint, internal knowledge hubs)
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and service delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in CLE administration, attorney development, legal L&D, or licensing (law firm experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience managing CLE programs or professional education programs end-to-end
  • Strong understanding of CLE accreditation requirements (multi-jurisdiction experience preferred)
  • Experience with CE Manager (Micron) or similar systems
  • Familiarity with learning technologies, CRM tools, and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with attorneys and senior stakeholders
  • High level of professionalism and discretion
